My Polish photography teacher used to say: ‘If you don’t have any idea for a picture, look for your own fears inside you and take inspiration from what you dream and what you think about. Quite often in my dreams mirror-picture of a deformed body appears. Idea of death, of life limitations is fascinating. However I feel truly scared with time running constantly.
In the center of my artistic interests I can find a human being, his amazing body, the form of which creates a final masterpiece. As well details underlining character features and all delicate elements.
My picture is not just a flat view. I paint with light and shadow, feeling amazed with movement and all what indicates human existence. I express my own beauty definition, so different from widely accepted ‘norms’ and ‘fashions’. What constitutes beautiful thing for me is destruction, body ageing, disadvantages. Desired type of model would be a freak.
Often I simply reject all this psychological-sociological filling, playing with the form only, trying to de-humanize my models. I do not picture or paint fashionable pictures. I just do what I feel good with. In my life I live by the idea that a human can be remembered only when he creates. I want to create and I do it, so my works may speak. I will be remembered by what they said.
