“I just think it’s nice to be able to wake up in the morning knowing your going to do a job you love and are passionate about. Whilst working in a hotel in Park Lane, a friend asked me to visit a photographic studio in the Docklands. I was blown away by the whole experience and warmth of the photographer Roy McMahon who offered me the opportunity to come back to his studio anytime I wanted to watch and learn. I was there the next day. I was encouraged to pick up a camera and have a go on many occasions this when I learned to understand light and its differing effect on the atmosphere; I always remember the camera is a tool and the vision is my eye. Quickly learned that the best way to capture your true subject along with your true vision is through the use of manual settings regardless of today’s modern sophisticated cameras which till this day I stand by.”
